Join us in search of the northern lights in the Saariselkä night. We drive in a warm car away from the village lights to where the sky is darkest — tracking real-time weather and aurora forecasts to find the best spots of the evening. At stops you'll enjoy a warm drink from a thermos and a small snack under the stars, and your guide will help capture the moment — photos sent straight to your phone.
The experience lasts around three hours and departs at 11 pm, when the sky is often at its best. We can't promise the aurora — it's a natural phenomenon — but we do everything we can to put you in the right place at the right time. Small group, maximum 8 people. Guiding in Finnish and English.
Included in the price: guided car trip, warm drinks and snacks, experience photos. Departure from a shared pick-up point in Saariselkä. You can add door-to-door pick-up from your accommodation (Saariselkä +€20, Kakslauttanen +€35, Ivalo +€35 / address).
Dress warmly for the conditions. Minimum age 12 years. The experience runs with a minimum of 2 participants booked.
Cancellation policy: free cancellation up to 48 hours before the experience. If weather prevents safe operation, we'll offer a transfer to another evening subject to availability, or a full refund. The northern lights are a natural phenomenon — their appearance cannot be guaranteed.
